You’ve got the power.

You may not have all the time, money or answers you need to get started on that dream that you’ve been holding in your heart–the one that will change everything. But the real question is, what will your life be like if you don’t?

Do you still want your life to look like it does today when you’re 5-10 years older?

Don’t give up your right to have the freedom to do what you love. You don’t have to “just survive”. You already have the power to accomplish anything you want.

Midlife Freedom is about finding out what you were always meant to do, and then doing it.

My Story

I’m Susan Rampson. At my core, I’m an encourager. I’m an adventurer–an explorer of possibilities.

I’m a teacher, a writer and storyteller. I help people remember who they are, why they are here, and how to heal their hearts.

And, I’m a “Baba”. A grandmother.

I’m a native New Yorker, now living in Colorado with my husband and family.  I’ve had a career in high tech corporate America, and until now I’ve had the most fun (and pain) raising four kids and building my own Internet startup from nothing to a 7-figure business–way back in the day when the Internet was known as “the World Wide Web”.

Now I’ve left that work, and I’ve returned to my original true love–expanding my understanding that the unknown is not unknowable, and sharing what I learn with you.

I know life can be hard. In our family we’ve worked through depression, divorce, jail, homelessness, financial ruin, addiction, neglect and abuse, and we still struggle daily with the fallout of these challenges. But we’ve also enjoyed happiness, fun, appreciation and prosperity. We’ve traveled to beautiful and inspiring places. And we’ve found what we’ve needed to support and encourage each other.

I make a choice each day to find joy and hope somewhere, anywhere. Sometimes I have to hunt it down; my weapons are love, compassion, gratitude, humor, and forgiveness—especially for myself. My prizes are a growing humility and a character that is continually being hammered into a future work of art.

The most exciting thing I’ve learned is that even amidst heartache, joy and hope are still available for the taking. Beauty still thrives inside an ugly mess. We grab it with creativity, service, and most of all, perspective.

I was born to encourage. My freedom is rooted here, and I believe that we all can come together for each other and accomplish astonishing things—even at our age. Especially at our age.

What About You?

What about you? Do you believe you’ve still got it in you to pursue a dream or accomplish a goal that has escaped you thus far? What’s holding you back?

If your reason for being here is to be encouraged, to learn, and to share what works, then you’re at the right place.

  • I switched my college major 3 times.
  • I built a 7-figure business from scratch.
  • I was the first person to use American Express Travelers Cheques in Siberia.
  • I pray (speak) and meditate (listen) each morning.
  • I work from home, or from wherever I want.
